Refund Home Loans tops BRW Magazine's "Fastest Growing Franchise by Revenue" rating

Refund Home Loans (Refund) this week added further to its performance credentials when it topped the rating for "Fastest-Growing Franchises by Revenue" in the prestigious BRW magazine annual survey (Flagship edition January 29 – March 4 2009).

This is the second successive year Refund has achieved a highest rating in the BRW survey, having topped the "Fastest-Growing by Outlet" category in the publication's 2008 survey.

Refund entered the competitive mortgage broking market in April 2004 with its promise to refund its customers up to 50% of the commissions it receives. Today, against a background of uncertain home mortgage rates, declining house values and general economic concerns, Refund's home loan concept is proving increasingly popular.            

Wayne Ormond, Founder and Executive Chairman of Refund, said the company's latest
rating was built on an average revenue growth through the year of 10% per broker. "This is an achievement in which all Refund's franchisees can take pride, particularly in a year of such economic difficulty," he said.

Mr Ormond said the company's consistent achievement in industry surveys and awards is a significant endorsement of its operational performance. He added that adherence from the company's first days to the highest business and ethical standards has been a fundamental element in Refund's market success.

Recent moves in the industry, in which two major banks have taken over three of the leading brokers, have left Refund as the leading independent mortgage broker unaligned with a major bank.

Refund's further recognition in recent industry ratings and awards includes:

• In BRW's 2008 "Fast 100" survey, Refund improved from its 12th position in 2007 to make the prestigious Top 10 as a result of the company's revenue growth of 141.74% (to a total of $10.51million) in the 2007-08 year (edition October 30/November 26 2008).
• In November 2008 Refund was presented by Choice Aggregation Services with the National Champion Award for achieving the highest loan volumes through the company, one of the largest aggregators in Australia.
